The Problem.
The Chrony was in need of a rebrand. They had switched from traditional broadsheet to a more modern tabloid in an effort to keep print alive and increase pickup rates.
The Solution.
Both as the Assistant Production Manager and later, the Production Manager, I helped the team of designers keep print alive by making the design feel more alive. Critics thought we did, too. So much so, that the design team collected over ten design awards from The Utah Press Association and The Society of Professional Journalists in two years.
