About Me
Zac possesses 10+ years of agency and in-house experience across creative and strategy, product marketing and brand marketing, user experience and art direction. Some of his most notable work is being a key leader in architecting creative marketing strategies for one of the world's leading brands in sports - Under Armour.
He currently serves as a Senior Channel and Category Marketing Manager at Under Armour, leading a $400 million business segment encompassing five categories – Train, Run, Golf, Outdoor, and Specialty. In this capacity, he oversees the daily retail partner needs, orchestrates brand marketing campaigns, and manages a comprehensive 360° go-to-market process. His results-driven approach has consistently elevated the brand’s profitability, earning recognition as one of the company’s most profitable categories year over year.
Before joining Under Armour, the individual played a pivotal role as the lead Art Director for Adobe Document Cloud's global rebrand. Spearheading this successful rebranding initiative, he unified visual brand identities across hundreds of web pages. His multifaceted background also includes serving as the lead UX Designer for the development of Adobe Experience Cloud’s innovative customer success platform, Experience League, which grew from 10M annual users to 16.5M after the implementation.
However, what truly distinguishes his career is his deep dedication to social impact. Co-founding and serving as the Director of Marketing and Brand Development for Project Embrace, a medical nonprofit dedicated to providing used medical equipment to underserved communities worldwide, he achieved a remarkable 1,000% growth for the organization with minimal resources. His ingenious marketing strategies earned international recognition, placing them as finalists for the D&AD Impact Awards for Civic and Community Engagement marketing amongst global brands with bottomless budgets.
His educational background in Strategic Communications at the University of Utah complemented his professional journey. While at the U, Zac led a student advertising agency of 18 members, where he worked with diverse clients nationwide, honing skills in branding and design. His accomplishments were celebrated nationally when awarded Designer of the Year by College Media, Business, & Advertising Managers.
Beyond professional commitments, he channels creativity through photography, curating ongoing photo journal series such as “Morning Observations” and “The Moments Between.” “Morning Observations” even earned international recognition as a Photobook of the Year nominee by Communication Arts Magazine.
In addition to professional and creative pursuits, Zac actively mentors a cohort of student-run startups through the Johns Hopkins Tech Ventures program. His guidance covers various facets he has mastered throughout his career, including marketing, branding, business strategy, written and visual communication, and UX/UI design.
With diverse experiences, a passion for creativity, and a commitment to mentorship, Zac is equipped with the skills and perspective necessary to lead and innovate in the dynamic field of brand marketing and creative direction.
